FAQ

What is the best time of day to schedule a session?

I prefer to shoot late afternoon during the golden hour just before the sun sets. If there is another time of day that would better suit your needs, please let me know! Sports sessions in the gym can be any time during the day.

Does a print release mean that I own the images?

No, the print release I will provide if you have purchased the digital files allows you to print those images for personal use only. Kayli Maier Photography retains all copyrights to the images. Your release does not include permission to modify, sell or enter the images in any contests without my written consent.

What should I wear?

I always suggest adding layers such as hats, jackets, cardigans. Anything that can be added or removed to switch up the look. Flowy dresses for girls are always really fun but if that does not make you feel confident, don't wear it! Wearing clothes that you are comfortable and confident in is huge! Props are also a really fun way to add personality to your session. Bouquet of flowers, awards, sports balls and shoes, lettermans jacket, instruments, books, anything that you are interested in!

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

I watch the weather like a hawk and if it looks like we should move it to a different day, I will communicate that with you. There have been plenty of times when it looks like it will rain and then at the time of shooting, we get a beautiful sunset! Whatever it may be, I will be communicating with you and we will decide what is best.
